Reka ranei Kawa

In Te Maunga we have been learning all about kai. We learnt about kaimoana and what we can find in the sea and put into our kete. We also learnt all about reka and kawa! Check the photos and see if you can figure out if what we ate was reka (sweet) or kawa (sour).

  1. Kia ora Te Maunga. Good to see you learning about reka and kawa. Why are some thing sweet while others are sour?

  2. Kia ora Te Maunga my name is Jahrell and I go to Paihia school just like you. It looked like you had some fun eating those foods. In some of the photos it looked like some of the foods were very nice and disgusting. What was the nicest food that you tried? What food did you dislike? When you tried the foods did anyone not eat them? Thank you Jahrell
