In Te Maunga we have been learning about the sun, moon and stars. We read all about these heavenly bodies and what they do.
The sun is the most important thing in our solar system. Without it, there would be no light, heat or life on Earth. The moon orbits the Earth. Its gravity affects tides on Earth. We can only see the moon because the sun reflects off it. The Matariki cluster is closest to the Taurus constellation.
We wrote some awesome explanations and have learnt a huge amount about what is happening in the universe.
Hi Jacinta my name is Kora and I go to Paihia School. I really like how you put what you learnt because everybody's going to learn something by reading your blog comment. We have been doing that in class as well.
